Dr. Shaista Wahidi was born on November 26 in Karachi, Pakistan. She received her childhood education from Habib Girls School, Karachi and then completed her matriculation from Bahria Collage for Women, Karachi in 1992. Later she went to Govt. Collage for Women, Karachi for doing FSc and finally in 2012, she received her MBBS degree from Sindh Medical Collage.

Shaista entered the media industry of Pakistan as a radio anchorperson from where she went on to work as a News anchor at a private TV channel. Shaista remained an unknown entity till she started to show her talent as a host in live TV shows. At first, she hosted the show “Hum or AapBarah-e-Rast” on the same private channel but she actually started climbing the ladder of success when she hosted the morning show “Good morning Pakistan” on ARY digital. The show was a huge success and Shaista was well appreciated and applaud for her skills. Presently, she can be seen hosting the morning show“UthoJago Pakistan” on Geo TV.

Dr. Shaista was married to Waqar Wahidi during her studies and the couple had three kids, Faiz, Shafay and Eeman but recently for some unknown reasons, their marriage couldn’t work out and she took divorce from her husband. She’s the only sister of three brothers, Tahir, Amir and Sahir Lodhi.
